Camping Recommendations

For parties desiring a relatively easy trip (such as families with young children), Skelton and Woods Lakes are beautiful places to camp. Farther into the backcountry, you'll find good camping and fishing at Duck, Pika and Deer Lakes. Purple Lake is a picturesque camping location and an excellent base camp for trips into surrounding lakes and streams. Fish Creek, Cascade Valley, Tully's Hole, Horse Heaven Meadow and Virginia Lake are even more remote, very scenic areas with excellent fishing and hunting. The most remote area requiring longer horseback travel takes you into the Minnow Creek/Silver Divide Basin.
